"You also need to tell your mother that I have a boyfriend or a fiance. Not going to introduce yourself to the public. I do not like that at all!
First, come and inform your mother that you have a boyfriend, a fiancé you don’t need to parade him around. I am your mother,” Mariam asserted.
She went on to clarifying that she was not trying to dictate her daughter's life or hinder her from finding love all she was asking for was for respect, not having to find out details about her daughter's life online. Mariam maintained she was doing all this because of the immense love she has for her daughter.
“I am not trying to obstruct my daughter, but all I ask for is respect as her parent. After that, I genuinely wish her happiness, and I still hold a deep love for my daughter,” Mariam said as she ended her public reproach before warmly hugging her daughter.
Wema and her boyfriend Whozu met in Dodoma while they were both working, they became friends and later on ended up dating.
This isn’t the first time Wema’s mom has publicly embarrassed her in regards to her relationships. Back in 2018, she forcefully stormed Wema’s residence in Mbezi Salasala, Dar es Salaam, and evicted her then-boyfriend Lawrence, known as Rahur, from her daughter's house late at night amidst loud and passionate outbursts.
