The widow and late singer Mowzey Radio from Uganda, Lilian Mbabazi is at risk of being evicted from her home for failing to pay her rent arrears, Ugandan media have reported.

According to the statement, Mr. Sitran Deshpande, who is the landlord of Lilian Mbabazi, the singer rented the house since 21 February 2018 for a monthly fee of Ugx 1.5M [Kenya Shillings 59 thousand].

However, due to reasons that are not yet known, since April 2022, Lilian Mbabazi has allegedly not been paying her rent.

This forced the landlord to involve the authorities, and his lawyers issued a notice of claim to Lilian Mbabazi. It was further alleged that Lilian has been playing hide and seek since then.

The singer denied this when contacted and maintained that she was looking forward to meeting the interested parties on Thursday.

Lilian further hinted that she had been waiting for the money to pay the arrears she was entitled to pay, but that matter had been delayed.

Lilian was also asked to appear at the Konge Police Station on Thursday so that the landlord could open the house for the authorities to take action.

Mowzey Radio, known for his music and being collaborators with fellow artist Weasel, died in February 2018 after an altercation with a Kampala club bouncer.
