Kisii musician Embarambamba County has revealed that although he is loved by his fans from different parts of the country and abroad, that sentiment isn't shared at home.

The artist said that he has done shows and performed in other places where he is invited but there is not a single show that he has ever been invited to in his home county.

He revealed this in an interview with the 2Mbili and admitted that it hurts him a lot when people of his ethnic community compare him to a madman and tell him to hide when they see him.

He recalled how people from his community had burned his portrait when Ruto was visiting Kisii, saying that he was crazy and should not have been invited to perform at his meeting.

"It is true that when my Kisii colleagues see me, they say 'hide this one' and I always feel a lot of pain. In Kisii, I have not held these meetings, I am doing a crusade and I have not gone to any meetings because I was attacked in the past. They attacked me and said he was crazy, and didn't take me to the president when he had a big party in Kisii. They complained until I was removed from the schedule of the president's entertainers," he said bitterly.

"Since that day, I have never been invited to another party in Kisii, maybe I heard there is a party where I should go, but I have not seen Mkisii inviting me," he added.

The artist said that he has been invited to almost all places in the country apart from home and claimed that it is only now that their people have started to show regret for not inviting him in the past seeing that he is loved away from home.

"All these tribes have invited me, the Kisii people are now seeing that he is loved outside more than we who gave birth to him. Now they have started to think..." he said.
