A Kenyan TikToker identified as The Story Teller has rattled many with claims that girls living in Kilimani pay Sh100k to rent an apartment, just to show others that they are classy, yet they sleep hungry.
The content creator added that "Madem wanalipa rent 100k Kilimani na wanalala njaa".
He sympathized with these types of girls saying they don't own anything.
"They rent these apartments of Sh100,000 with many roommates because they want to appear classy. Their only aim is class, to keep up with us. These girls have a certain goal which is if we live in Kilimani, the people we are likely to meet will be rich"
He continues to say their priorities are misplaced "So they decide that they will hook up with rich men and split that 100k rent. Hao sioni kama wako noma. Si wako biashara? And if those wababas are willingly parting with that kind of money in this economy, si ni sawa? But why would you decide to be roommates for that kind of rent just to have status? "
"Tuseme tuu hawa madem si ati wana target ya kukatia hawa wababa they just want to be known as rich kids, that we stay in Kilimani so they go to extremes and don't have food to eat, as long as they have status. Girls are capable of anything, if a girl can wear like 3 waist shapers and walk all day in heels, there is nothing she can't do."
He is calling on girls to live a life they can afford.
"But now what I would tell people is chakula ni kitu ya maana. Peace of mind is important, if you dont have a target in Kilimani leave that nonsense alone. Na kama unaumia mahali uko ukilipa rent, leave. If the end month you are stressed wondering where your rent will come from, and you start kuchanga changa, my friend moves out. Rent should not be something to stress you out. Rent should be something automatic that you know I will pay it from this source. "
He tells you how much of your income should go towards rent.
