Taylor Swift won 9 awards out of 11 nominations and surprisingly her Song Anti-hero took the lead with 6 awards.
Taylor has been in the music industry for about 19 years. What you don't know about her is that she first sang in front of a crowd when she was 11 years old a song called The Star Spangled Banner before a basketball game.
At 14 she signed in with a recording label as a songwriter, after some time in 2008 she released an album called Fearless that was a big hit to her and was among the Billboard Chats top 200.
After Fearless, this is where her win for the VMAs began with the song, You Belong With Me which she topped in the Best Female Video category of the Year.
In 2020, she won 14 awards still on the same including Video of the Year for "Bad Blood", "You Need To Calm Down" and "All Too Well", and in 2022 she won 3 awards VMAs.
It is amazing to see that one person can achieve so much in just one category of awards without even having a peep at the other big awards.
What is fascinating us more is that in the years that haven't been listed as a win, she was actually nominated which is also a win.
In 2023 she came back with full-force, Taylor decided that this was the year to have tours of her 10th album Midnights which was released in 2022 October.
The Eras tour was one of the biggest tours that have happened in the US and shockingly no matter the high price of the tickets it was sold out.
The Singers' hard work didn't go in vain because the VMAs are proof that the album plus the tour were epic.
This time round she won 9 awards from 11 nominations where all songs derived from the Midnights album being topped by Anti-hero.
She said that this song talks about some things that people don't like about themselves but at some point, they have to come to good terms with them.
The song took 6 awards out of the 9 them being; Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual.
In this award, she has beaten some of the biggest artists that were nominated in the same category as her like Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Shakira, and Karol G.
She also won the Artist of the Year and the Album of the Year.
