Over the years we have lost talented media personalities to the cruel hand of death.

Although death is a phase everyone passes through, it still breaks our hearts when it hits home.

Below are actors, radio hosts, singers and creatives we deeply miss

Gibson Mbugua

The late Gibson was famous for his role as a Prosecutor in the show 'Vioja Mahakamani'.

He was diagnosed with kidney failure. He got a transplant weeks before his death.

Mbugua passed away in December, 2022 after a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure.

Sean Cardovillis

The popular media personality's body was found on Saturday, September 9 morning outside his house along Rhapta Road, Westlands where he lived alone.

According to authorities and witnesses, his body was discovered at the bottom of his staircase on the fourth floor of an apartment by a cleaner who had gone to clean the area leading to his home.

He was later pronounced dead.

Sources revealed he had been battling ill health for some time.

Alex Nderi alias DJ Lithium 

The death of Nderi left many in shock

DJ was rushed to the facility after he collapsed at Capital FM offices located at Lonroh House in Nairobi's Central Business District.

He pronounced dead on arrival at the Nairobi Hospital in January 2022.

Maina Olwenya

Maina, who was best known for his roles in Nairobi Half Life, Poacher and Taliya, collapsed and died in July 2022.

He was also a voice actor at Radio Jambo.

Duncan Ochonjo

The  news of his demise was announced by his dear friend and colleague, Sandra Dacha, in an emotional Instagram post.

His memorable appearances in popular local series, including the well-received "Kalausi," "Inspector Mwala", "Mazagazaga", "Njoro Wa Uba", "Vashita" etc.

He had developed organ failure.

According to his brother Kevin,

All his organs zilikuwa zimebeat liver, kidney. Kitu imemuumiza Dan. He had Tuberculosis and you cant treat TB while these organs are not functioning."

"There was a clash of medication, so it was hard," he shared.
