In the ongoing Africa Climate Summit being held at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC), Kenyans including their president decided to showcase their love for the environment.

In the spirit of exaggeration and needing to be the centre of attention Kenya did not disappoint.

President William Ruto decided to enter the Climate summit in style. The president drove an electric car to the summit to show how he is passionate about the environment and uses eco-friendly vehicles.

His action led to an uproar on social media others even told the president to stop pretending to please the attending guest and use his usual convoy of vehicles that he's used to.

Below is a picture of the President's entry.

And as custom to Kenyan's once the leader leads the followers must follow. A fleet of electric vehicle companies like City Hoppa, Embassava, Sasa Pay, and Metro Trans were used for the people's climate march.

The fleet of electric vehicles was used to show that in Kenya people only travel using electric cars to prevent polluting the environment.

The government even went ahead and closed some of the public roads that lead to KICC or around the venue.

Most Kenyans saw this as PR practice and once the visitors leave we will be back to default settings.

Not only did the country use electric carts for the summit there are also ongoing demonstrations from the youth and climate activists advocating for change in the climate sector.

The activists' famous mantra is ' less talk more action for climate 'Before the ongoing Africa Climate Summit, we didn't have any group showcasing their love for the climate.

Whether people will continue with their love for the climate or not, we as Mpasho will keep you updated.
