Nigerian superstar Joe Boy has revealed that he is super big on holding grudges.
According to the 26-year-old he is of the popularly notions 'we will heal after life' and the more shady one, 'when they go low, I go to hell.'
Speaking during an interview with the Zero Conditions Podcast, the topic of 'forgive and forget' came up, and Joe went on to highlight that for him he finds it incredibly difficult to forgive people who hurt him.
The artist went on to insist the main reason why he holds grudges is because he tries his level best to do right by people and is a decent human being so when these qualities are not reciprocated it touches a nerve.
He also stressed that he takes it personally when people hurt him in ways he wouldn't do to them.
"It's hard for me to forgive and forget, I can't lie. I'm sorry but I'm trying though," started off the multi award winning Nigerian.
Joeboy went on to add;
"I can hold a grudge because one thing I like to do when it comes to relationships with people is to make sure I do everything right.
So when someone acts funny with me I take it personally because I'd never do that to you, why are you doing that to me? That's why I take it personally."
The Nigerian went on to add that when he forgives, he totally cuts off the person he had a fall out with. Adding that this is because he would rather not have the offender in his space because naturally, he does not cut people off quickly, so if someone has managed to blow through their numerous chances then they shouldn't be in his space.
"I might even forgive but it would take a while though, but I'd forgive, It'd be very difficult to give the person access again," he stated.
The singer also cited that with time he has learnt that reducing one's expectations of other people helps a lot.
