In today's morning conversation at Classic 105, Mike Mondo and Mwalimu Kinga'ng'i had an interesting question for their listeners.

The question of the day was, "Women have you ever helped your man financially, if not why?"

Mondo himself said, "Why don't you help your man pay fees, times are tough help him out."

The conversation was inspired by Mike's encounter with a woman yesterday who claimed she could never financially help her husband.

The radio presenters wanted to understand why women don't want to help their male counterparts yet have the money to do it.

The duo was surprised by women when they said they couldn't help their men pay school fees since it's the man's job to provide.

The male listeners had different opinions than their females they asked for financial aid since times were tough. A caller had this to say,

"My wife hataki kuchangia kitu yoyote kwa nyumba, mimi ndio natengeza pesa mob kumshinda lakini yeye pia anaearn lakini hataki kuskia kuhusu kucontribute kwa nyumba."

Another added:

"Mambo ni matatu arsenal ball ... ukiwa na 50K kwa nyumba as a man na bibi akona 20K kwa nyumba mkona 50K pekee, hii 50K ishapangiwa, 20K rent, 10K food, 10k fuel na bado hujalipa fees. madam hawezi kupea ata 5K ya mshahara yake. anasema hiyo ni kazi ya mwanaume kuprovide sio yake."

A caller joked that the only time a woman will help a man out is when he is paying dowry since she knows it will go back to her family.

"Msichana time atakusaidia financially ni ukilipa mahari na ni kwa sababu inaenda kwao, the minute umelipa mahari ni hivyo msaada imeisha...as a man inabidii ujikaze ata ukiwa kilema a woman can never help you itabidii ujikaze tu ukatafute. Wanawake si watu wazuri."

The dynamic duo were left astonished by one of their callers who stated that he has a very supportive wife and is happy to have her.

The caller had this to say:

"My wife anasaidia kwa financial expenses za hao hadi nashangaa. Yeye data hunikopesha pesa, some times yeye husema nishike fees yeye atasiumamia chakula kwa nyumba. Maina lemme tell you huyo mwanamke hasaidi si mwanamke mzuri times are tough lazima usaidie mtu wako."

Some listeners didn't want to be left out of the conversation and decided to tweet their responses, below are some of the comments.

Jennifer Kanyiri@jennykanyiri -if the partner is showing some effort and transparency in his finances, definitely as a lady I won't hesitate to help but if he has other monkey business with money, ajisort peke take,, ladies we love someone who's honest in everything #MikeAndKingangi

Giathi John@john_giath37491 -Only a woman who does not understand what marriage is will always have a reason to justify herself. Why be a companion of a person conditionally? @Classic105Kenya@MikeMondo1

Bella Ndichu@NdichuBella -You'll help a man once and he will start neglecting his responsibilities just because he sees you are capable. As a man you agreed to family, so agree to full responsibility. As a lady, I will help but don't make it a habit.#MikeAndKingangi@MikeMondo1

John Musanga@musanga_john@Classic105Kenya@MikeMondo1 -Good morning Mike, a very few women will give support to their husbands and if you are given the money, utadaiwa kama outsider hata to the point anakuripoti kwa makarao #mikeAndKingangi

Halima Mwavumo@HMwavumo@MikeMondo1- I don't think there is a problem in paying for fees or anything else for that matter. As a couple It should be natural we all chip in and help each other tukilemewa isn't that what marriage entails??? #mikeandkingani@Classic105Kenya
