Oliver Otieno famously known as YY is a Kenyan stand-up comedian, writer, film director, entrepreneur, and father of one beautiful daughter.
In an interview, comedian YY decided to differ from his friend Obina's opinion on Mulamwah's decision to build a mansion in his village.
Oliver agreed that building a house in the village is a very good idea because you are not looking for monetary gain it has to be for commercial gain.
He further explained that when you build in the village you don't build for an investment you build there because you want to build for your parents and yourself a house.
"It is never a bad idea, investments means unaeka for monetary gain or commercial gain... when your building in the village you don't look for that mimi kujengea mama yangu au kujijengea nyumba I'm not looking for monetary gain."
He is displeased by people's opinion that if you build a house in the village you can't sell it when you aren't financially stable since it won't appreciate.
The comedian was disappointed by people's mentality and wasn't afraid to express it.
"Why do we narrow our thinking to huwezi uza siku moja ukiwa an shida.. unaeza jenga nyumba ocha an bado town."
The film director added that people who claim that they visit the village once a year have problems, he doesn't understand the logic of how would want to visit their parents once.
"If you go to your village once a year it shows it tells more about you, you're the problem, not the house, Your parents live in the village why don't you go there... You have a very big problem if you visit your parents once a year."
The comedian continued by saying he loves going to the village and he's spent the whole month in the village and was very comfortable.
He expressed his disappointment by saying Obina shouldn't mislead people, he has built a house in the village why is telling others not to build one?
"Amesema it's a wrong investment but he has built mtu hajajenga atasema word, this guy is very wise but yeye amejenga alafu akaambia msee ajajenga asijenge.",
He finished by encouraging people to build houses in the village, they are a good investment and people should try and uplift their status and not stay in the same place they've been.
