Kenyan recording and performing artist Stevo Simple boy has hopped on the Kenya vs Tanzania rap battle that was initiated a few days ago by internationally acclaimed award-winning Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones.
Khali challenged Tanzanian rappers to a rap battle noting that they had 24 hours to respond to his call for a rap battle. In his call, Papa Jones insisted he needed a hip-hop response and not Amapiano.
Some Tanzanian artist have come out guns blazing responding to Papa Jones taunting video but a bunch of Kenyan artists, Stevo Simple boy leading the choir feel that the responses are not up to par.
Posting on his Instagram stories, Stevo called out Tanzanian rappers highlighting that they were not worthy of going head to head with the OG, Papa Jones. Stevo told the rappers who wanted to participate should first go through him before they could advance to any other level;
"Naskia mna vita na sisi marapper wa Kenya kabla hamjamfikia @khalioraph jones the Og Kwanza mpitie kwangu niwape ngumi nyeusi michano ya kizagazaga," wrote the 'Freshi Barida' hit maker.
His above statement oosely translates to;
(I hear that you guys have a fight with us Kenyan rappers, but before you get to Khaligraph Jones the OG you guys should first pass through me I show you who the boss is,)
Stevo went on to call on upcoming artist Ngesh to join the battle and take on one of the artists as he continued chest thumping,
"Oya @bando_tz kweli Una bandle za vita na ivi @younglunya_tz umevaa mshipi vizuri @ni_ngesh ebu tusichokeshe @khaligraph jones ebu mjibu rosa_ree," the rest of his statement read.
What's your take on the ongoing musical battle? Do you think Simpleboy and Ngesh can represent us well? Let us know.
