Kenyan musician Lil Maina has opened up after Netizens credited him for the revival of Gengetone music which has been struggling for a while.
For the past few days Kenyans have been having discussion on the Rebirth of Gengetone genre and Lil Maina is here for it.
The star has been linked to the revival of the genre following the massive success of his new tune Ngwai featuring Danski which was released three months.
The virality of the song especially on Tiktok is what has earned that stat credit from fans. Also, another wave of upcoming stars has ignited the Gengetone era ponce again.
Currently, Jeremy Maina aka Lil Maina is in America and he has fully dived into content creation. He also affirmed that he is working on an album.
Sharing a day in his life on YouTube, the star revealed that he moved to the US to be with his mother. This is after the untimely death of his grandfather.
"I'm learning how to do my production and everything."

He has an album he is working on.
"My album is coming out, I won't lie, the album is coming guys, subscribe, I am so excited, so dont worry about it, lele remix is coming,"
The entertainer also addressed suggestions by fans that he has revived gengetone
"Guys, do you think my sound is gengetone? I dont think my sound is gengetone personally. I think tuu ni Maina. I have brought this vibe"
"I remember people abusing me saying Jere you are not going anywhere with music, look at me now" he shouts at the camera.
"Hapa ni wapi" he asks using the popular diss audio on Tiktok.
Maina went on to promise that he will be updating fans on how he is fairing with life while in the US.
