Grammy award singer Wizkid is mourning the death of his mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun died on August 18. The mother of three died at around 1.30 am, Friday.
Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are, confirmed the incident to Nigerian journalists saying; “Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am.”
Consoling the Starboy boss on Saturday, Davido said he would heal with time. On his Twitter, Davido penned a moving message to his fans thanking him for reaching out to Wizkid.
“Praying for you my brother @wizkidayo. Sadness flies away on the wings of time.”
Other celebrities have also reached out with their kind words of thoughts and prayers. Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Badoo has assured WizKid of his prayers.
Olamide stated this while sending his condolences on his Twitter account. He mourned WizKids mother’s death writing “Prayers up for Wiz.”

The 'Last Last' singer told the audience to hold a moment of silence as he paid tribute to Wizkid’s late mom, during the “Ginger” song performance pausing his performance to stand in solidarity with his peer.
