But what saddened Kenyans more is the news of his death.

Below are things you did not know about the young man.

His real name was Robert Gituhu.
He was a resident of Kirangari village in Kiambu.
Joined Eldoret University in 2014 and graduated in 2021.
He died at Coast General Teaching and Referal Hospital.
Gituhu had 80 percent burns.
He was frustrated over being unemployed despite being a graduate.
He had been diagnosed with a mental illness according to his family.
Robert Gituhu had been reported missing by his family.
He died aged 27.
He had been missing for three days before the video of him setting himself ablaze emerged.
He will be buried in Kiambu County.
