Tanzanian singer Harmonize has revealed that he never of being dreamt of being a musician. Harmonize came into the limelight in 2015 after being launched by Diamond Platnumz as his signee at the time.

Speaking to Clouds FM, Harmonize said that he wanted to be a soccer player.

"I didn't want to be a musician. I had the dream of being a footballer. Music called for me because when I sing people recognize. I don't overthink when I'm doing a song, I do songs based on my own personal life. When I'm happy, I'll sing about happiness, when I'm sad or lonely I sing on the same as well."

Since his debut in the music industry in 2015, the singer has gone ahead to become one of the most celebrated stars in East Africa.

Harmonize left Diamond's label three years ago and has since started his own record label Konde Music Worldwide.

Harmonize said WCB would take 60% of his earnings and he'd take home 40%.

'I had a 10-year contract with WCB. Whatever I earned they were to take 60% while I took 40%. It did not matter whether the money came from music or from endorsements," he told Millard Ayo

I have never revealed why I left but I have decided to say it because some WCB fans keep assuming I am the bad one.

I have never denied being signed by WCB.

Salama was an international manager at WCB, if you want an international manager you have to liaise with him. When I felt I was getting the exposure I was getting I decided to venture elsewhere."

Harmonize added;

"The trouble started after I started doing well. Diamond's manager started making it look like I was competing with him ( Diamond)."
