Seasoned Milele FM radio presenter Alex Mwakideu shocked many Kenyans yesterday when he announced his exit from the station.

But that wouldn't last long as he promptly reversed his decision stating that he would be staying at a station he had worked at for 5 years.

His stated reason was that he and the Mediamax-owned station had resolved their issues. But what were these issues exactly?

Thank God for people like Ankali Ray, his colleague at Milele FM who went in deep and asked the father of 3 what exactly had transpired.

Alex started out by playing coy and saying that what had happened was a normal part of life, describing it as 'panda shuka'.

"Siku ya leo si kama ya kesho. Ni panda shuka ya maisha," he said.

The popular presenter then confused fans even further when he said that his public announcement about his exit had not been met well by some who asked him to remove the statement.

"Mimi nilipoweka hilo tangazo, kuna watu ambao hawakuchukulia vizuri, walisema usiweke hilo tangazo, kama unaweza punguza makali...sote ni binadamu, ni lazima tuwe na ungwana."

So did that mean his exit message had actually been true? Your idea is as good as mine because Mwakideu went on to add that he was there now but might not be here in the near future.

"Niko bado lakini sitakuwepo. Tuwache tu vile ilivyo. Tukiongeza chumvi tutaharibu," he stated cryptically.

Ankali then asked whether the whole hullabaloo had started as a way for Mwakideu to get more money, something the coast-born entertainer promptly denied.

Mwakideu also went ahead to reveal that job offers were plentiful to him but that his future decisions were based on what he wanted.

"Lakini kipindi waa huu mwezi was nane ukiisha, mwezi wa tisa ukianza, ukinipigia hii simu utajua mbivu ni mbichi."

His wife then added more fuel to the fire when she told Ankali that her hubby was actually leaving after he had asked her the question on everyone's lips.

"Anatoka! Bado haijajulikana vizuri hivyo! Mimi nitamsupport whatever decision atamake!" she confidently said.
