Kenyan female chef Maliha is counting down the hours to the home kitchen cooking marathon record she hopes to shatter.
To prepare for this she has arrived in Nairobi for the big fete.
Chef Maliha Mohamed is aiming to break a home cooking Guinness record ahead of the event.
The cooking marathon will go down on the 11th of August.
She intends to break the current record of 68 hours straight cooking, set by a US chef and believes she has what it takes.
She spoke about the Friday event on her Instagram showing her flight plus a brief interview with Obidan Dela, inviting Kenyans to come mark history being set.
"We will be cooking nonstop for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon.The reigning title is from America and we are breaking that record" she confidently declared.
Maliha is grateful to Kenyans who continue to support her ahead of the event on Friday this week.
Until Friday she will be on TikTok live engaging with Kenyans about the attempt.

The longest home kitchen cooking marathon (individual) is 68 hr 30 min 01 sec and was achieved by Rickey Lumpkin II (USA) in Los Angeles. California, USA, on 7 April 2018 by a man named Rickely Lumpkin.
Rickey made his record-breaking attempt to raise money to sponsor children through World Vision. Rickey is passionate about raising money for children living in Africa and has so far raised over $45,000 through running marathons and holding fundraisers.
