Chameleone starstruck after meeting famous Congolese legend

Fans were undoubtedly happy to see Ugandan singer Jose Chameleon back on his feet and onstage following a three-month absence in a US hospital.

He appeared in good health as he joined Awilo Longomba on stage to celebrate 48 years of musical legendary Afro Go band that went down at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel Gardens on Saturday, the 5th of August.

Chameleone met the Lingala singer and the two celebrities hugged each other, heaping praise on each other. Awilo also hang out with Chameleones son Abba Marcus.

The iconic Afrigo Band, a legendary name in Ugandan entertainment, was marking a remarkable 48 years in the music scene with an extraordinary event dubbed "Legends of Sound Concert".

This marked Jose's official return to the stage as he thrilled his fans with some of his most popular songs.

Even his energy as he danced impressed many considering how weak he appeared in July with traumatic pictures hospitalized in the US.

Joseph Mayanja a.k.a Chameleone had been admitted to Allina Medical Hospital in Minneapolis in June with serious stomach complications.

His brother Humphrey too had stomach complications,

Humphrey via his Facebook page informed netizens that he began having terrible fever while traveling to Boston. He became nervous about his health when he kept falling asleep and having intermittent fever.

This also developed to severe stomach pains, leaving him bedridden.

He sought medical intervention.

He was then rushed to the hospital by his friend where he a diagnosis was made and to undertake emergency surgery.
