After Dancehall performer KRG the Don allegedly showed off millions of shillings online, the Kenyan Revenue Authority has entered the conversation in full force.

The Mambo Imechemka hitmaker uploaded a video on Tuesday night in which he was seen putting away large sums of cash in a back bag.

He was purportedly heard in the video declining a job offer from a betting organisation that wanted him to sign an agreement worth Sh90 million.

He asserts that he can only sign the contract if he is paid Sh100 million. He is seen putting the cash in a bag the entire time while he is speaking.

Many social media users were drawn to the video, including the Kenya Revenue Authority, which used biblical texts to discuss paying taxes.

β€œGive to Ceaser what belongs to him (Mark 12:17. Ifikie KRG) ..' before adding that, β€˜Mambo imechemaka.'

MCA Kileleshwa Robert Alai has also voiced his disapproval of the way the artist was flaunting money online. He claimed that KRG was leaving a phony existence while online flashing borrowed money.

β€œAnother broke fool who is given money by former MP to flaunt,” Alai wrote.

Alinur Mohamed, a city politician, joined the discussion and accused KRG of defrauding online payment systems at a time when many Kenyans are trying to make ends meet.

β€œThis is just not okay. People are starving. One meal a day is a miracle to some. Some have not paid rent as low as 4k for months and risk getting kicked out with kids. God please help us, it's only you who can,” Alinur said.

KRG quickly replied; β€œSi angeitisha maandamano basi Kama nimekosa sana πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚,”.
