Police Thursday afternoon responded to a distress call for an apparent suicide in Nyeri.

The call suggested that a person may have committed suicide, so officers including homicide officers rushed to the scene.

In a clip courtesy of Citizen TV, experts are seen attempting to open a metal door, where the distress call came from.

They urge onlookers to move back to let more officers into the space.

After successfully breaking into the house, another clip shows the crowd gathering trying to get a look at what is inside the room.

Not too long later, officers start leaving the house as onlookers are heard expressing disappointment "Argh" shouts are heard coming from the crowd.

An officer removes a cat and drops its dead body on the front entrance.

More protests from the crowd continue to be heard as the camera pans to the onlookers who are seen laughing with sheer disappointment on their faces.

The officers then wrap the body of the cat with a cloth and carry it to the waiting landrover commonly used for crime scenes to ferry bodies.

"Walikuwa wanakuja kuona ati polisi wakivunja hiyop mlango wakifikiria ni maiti. Polisi ametoka ameshika paka mki. Sasa hatujui polisi wamepeleka wapi na landcruiser ama ni mortuary ama ni wapi" a boda boda guy was heard saying in an interview with the media house.
