Tina Knowles, singer Beyonce's mother and US fashion designer, has filed for divorce from actor Richard Lawson, her husband of eight years.
Knowles-Lawson, 69, filed for divorce on Wednesday, alleging irreconcilable differences, and identified their date of separation as Tuesday, according to court documents obtained by numerous US media sites.
The high-flying fashion designer and part-time'momager' has also urged the court to end the court's ability to award spousal support to her or Lawson, 76, and to restore her name to Celestine Knowles.
After exchanging vows aboard a luxury yacht in Newport Beach, California, on April 12, 2015, the former couple married for eight mainly happy years.
It was Knowles and Lawson's second marriage, after they began dating in 2013 after both had left their prior marriages.
After more than three decades together, Tina divorced her previous husband, Beyonce, and Solange Knowles' father and former manager Mathew Knowles in 2009.
In 2011, their divorce would be finalized.
Tina's most recent Instagram post with Lawson was in March, when she shared a photo at a Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
"Never been one to waste some good light! so we had to sneak a picture at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party last night with my Boo, @mrrichardlawson!" she captioned.
Tina and Lawson do not have any children.
Lawson, on the other hand, has a daughter, actress Bianca Lawson, with his previous wife, Denise Gordy, and a son named Ricky.
