Mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki has responded with a joke after being accused of being an absentee father.
On Saturday, after senator Karen Nyamu's sensational interview and Edday Nderitu's response where she confirmed her separation from the musician and "leaving him to whoever wants him the most", a netizen accused him of being unfaithful and neglecting his fatherly duties.
"Mbali na ku’cheat wewe ni deadbeat," the Facebook user wrote under one of his posts on Saturday. The Mugithi singer replied jokingly,
"Imagine." The singer had posted a video that showed him driving in an unknown location. In the video, he seemed to enjoy his life very much and not worry.
This was after his first wife Edday Nderitu who currently lives with his children in the United States confirmed that they have separated.
In her statement on Saturday morning, the mother of three made it clear that she is not in a polygamous marriage and revealed that she had decided to leave her husband of more than a decade and live with her children.
She continued to point out that since she left her marriage she has been raising his three children alone.
"Nimeweza kushughulikia mahitaji ya watoto wangu hadi sasa bila usaidizi na sijutii hata kidogo."
Edday was responding to remarks made by Samidoh 2nd wife, Karen Nyamu, who claimed that there is still a good relationship between her and the Mugithi singer and that they still talk even though she is currently in the United States.
Responding to claims that she is still in contact with her husband, Edday said,
"Kuhusu mawasiliano na simu za video nitaachia hapo kwani watu wengine wanaonekana kuwepo wakati hayo yanafanyika lakini mimi sifahamu. Katika msimu huu mpya wa maisha yangu sihitaji drama yoyote, nahitaji amani tu, natumai kipindi kijacho cha mfululizo huu jina langu litaachwa."
In an interview with Ala C, Karen Nyamu emphasized that the Edday is not going anywhere because the union between her and Samidoh is very strong.
