Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has made suggestions about updating the app's logo. Currently, Twitter's desktop and mobile applications both feature a "blue bird" logo.
Musk announced in a statement that the application will shortly drop the Twitter name. "And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds," he said.
Additionally, he requested X logo suggestions from Twitter users, promising to make the best ones live.
The head of Twitter shared a flickering visual X few hours later. Musk, though, would not elaborate further on the subject.
This happens months after Twitter users discovered that their account's emblem had changed from a bird to a doge.
An online joke known as a doge gained popularity in 2013. The Shiba Inu dog is usually depicted in the meme.
However, the changes were temporary and the logo was returned back to 'bird' after a short while.
In October 2022, Musk formally seized control of Twitter. He made a number of adjustments, including terminating staff members and bringing in subscribers.
