The boss of Konde Music Worldwide Rajab Abdul Kahali aka Harmonize has appeared to defend his former boss Diamond Platnumz during a period in which he is facing serious allegations of stealing ideas from other musicians.
Diamond has found himself in trouble after Nigerians and some Tanzanians accused him of allegedly stealing the beats of Nigerian musicians.
The latest case is his new song with Jux 'Enjoy' which is alleged to have copied Spyro and Tiwa Savage's hit 'Who is your Guy' .'
In his statement on Wednesday, the 'Single Again' hit singer urged pop artists and their fans to unite and support each other to reach higher levels.
Harmonize condemned insults and criticism against each other and asked people to let each artist make music in his own way.
“Tuungane pamoja. Tunaweza kuifanya kubwa zaidi. Tumebahatika kuwa waafrika!! Tujifunze kutoka kwa majirani zetu Nigeria. Mambo ya kuvunjana moyo, kuchambana, kuchekana, huyu kakosea huyu, kapatia tu mapungufu mapungufu na kujishushua wenyewe,” Konde Boy said using his Instagram page.
“Biashara kila mtu afanye kwa njia yake!!! Sote tunaenda kileleni,” he added.
The former WCB artist indicated that he has no grudge against his former boss Diamond and noted that he does not even have the time and energy to fight him.
"Binafsi sina chochote cha kuthibitisha katika nchi yetu. Kwa kweli sina nguvu ya kupigana na ndugu zangu wa damu. Ndiyo maana naapa kwa Mungu sisi ni wazee sana kwa hilo. Inaweza kuwa biashara ndio, lakini siku zijazo ni nini?,” he stressed.
For a long time, Konde Boy has been quarreling with Diamond, and in the past, the two have shown open animosity toward each other.
The friendship of the two Bongo stars fell apart after Harmonize left WCB in 2019 and later started his own music label.
Both of them have since hurled heavy accusations and insults at each other in public and their current relationship is said to be like oil and water.
So this move by Harmonize might be a sign he might be willing to mend fences. But time will tell.
