In a bizarre incident that captivated Kenyan social media, a man dressed as Spider-Man found himself at the center of attention after photos of his arrest went viral.

The Twitterverse was abuzz with questions and speculation as to why the Administration Police Service (APS) took the costumed individual into custody.

The viral tweet, posted by the account @InsecurityKE, showcased four photos capturing the arrest of the Nanyuki 'Spider-Man' and sought an explanation from the APS Kenya account.

The tweet quickly gained traction, leaving netizens eager to unravel the mystery behind the unusual arrest.

It was  later revealed that the man was not actually arrested but rather subjected to a wellness check.

According to an anonymous source, the man is mentally unstable and had been reported missing by his concerned family, who sought police assistance in locating him.

The APS officers located the man in Nanyuki town, where he was spotted peacefully walking the streets, engrossed in a book and carrying a shopping basket.

Understanding the man's mental condition, the officers took him into custody temporarily while they contacted his family.

Shortly after, family members arrived at Nanyuki prison with hospital documents attesting to his mental illness, leading to his immediate release.
