Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua expressed his love for German made Mercedes Benz vehicles.
Gachagua on Thursday said he loves Mercedes Benz to the extent that he cannot allow his driver to touch the car.
"I am a fan of Mercedes Benz. It is a car that I don't allow my driver to drive. I drive it myself because most vehicles from Germany last long. They are tested and they are efficient," the DP said.
Gachagua said even types of equipment from Germany are of good quality.
He said German machines are reliable.
"It is part of what is tightening our relationship with Germany," he said.
The Deputy President spoke during a consultative meeting with the president of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), Martin Schulz, whose delegation included the German Ambassador to Kenya Sebastian Growth.
Gachagua said the Kenya Kwanza is keen to work with international partners to strengthen and advance Kenya's democracy.
FES is a non-profit foundation funded by the German government for the advancement of democracy, international cooperation and solidarity.
"We will work with FES to ensure that ongoing peace efforts in the region are successful," Gachagua said.
