Kenyan artist Akothee has expressed disappointment at how some of her family members have been treating her.

She shared this during an interview with Presenter Ali.

Addressing rumor that some of her family members did not want her dad to attend her Royal Wedding, Akothee shared

"My dad is my number one fan and he would come to all my events.

After supporting my family, almost all of them.

When we announced our wedding, My younger sister was to get married as well.

Omosh was to bring cows in December to my parents but I told him to wait as there was another wedding.

My younger sister is always the one crossing my line, I have waited for her to apologize but she never does.

There is no way I could bring myself to a table I wasn't invited."

Akothee says given her sister had not apologized, she found it hard to attend her wedding.

She however let her kids attend their aunt's wedding and even catered for their expenses.

"She invited me to her wedding but we did not clear our baggage and we never got any closer.

I just wanted her to say she was sorry and the beef would have ended there.

When we announced the wedding, she convinced people that there was no wedding and that I wanted to ruin her day."

The mother of five says she had no intention of ruining her sister's big day.

"I just wanted people to put dates and organize themselves so that we do not inconvenience them.

But it was made to look like I was the bad one.

I started detaching, I told them to let me be buried by the State in case I die."

AKOTHEE KENYA on Instagram: "To my hero Ajos tinga , Well It has been Four years since you lost it , I don't get you on phone anymore, unless I call mum or people around you , so just like that I miss the days we chatted on phone laughed out loud and after that Mpesa Pap , I miss reading ..... ksh sent to Joshua Owino Kokeyo Confirm πŸ™ but God has been great daddy . Akothee says her siblings almost ruined her day by not wanting her dad to attend the wedding

"On my wedding day, you can hear how hoarse my voice was.

We had some issues as my dad was being denied a chance to come and witness my wedding.

I never asked for anything. My brothers never contacted me even when I lost my pregnancy.

Even on Whatsapp, my siblings refused for my dad not to come to my wedding. The group has my step-siblings who we do not get along with and I do not know why."

Her advice to her fans

"When you have family issues, apologize it will not cost you anything. Do not recruit people to hate others."
