• Get to meet Peter Kawa one of the few talent managers in this country who has been a part of Azziad Nasenya's success story.

Peter Kawa is an actor, producer, director, and also a talent manager, he has acted in so many shows and local movies in the Kenyan film industry, and he has been in the industry for 17 years as an actor and filmmaker.

He started traveling theatre in 2005 and his passion for acting started when he was a kid after they would go watching movies later on in high school he acted in form 3 won an award and knew he wanted to pursue acting.

He was studying information management when he dropped out of university to pursue acting and it didn't sit right with his parents but he says all he has done was to prove to them that he made a good decision.

Peter started talent management to also help people who were in shoes like his, he started in 2013 just casting people for films.So he now started doing more of reading their contracts, and communication for the young talents he scouted.

He says it's very important to have a manager who is there to assist in the little nitty-gritty of communication so that the actor doesn't have to worry about anything.

This was an experience he learned in Morocco when he went to act and the wife was managing him, and the director questioned why he came without even an assistant manager.

He speaks of the first time he started managing Azziad Nasenya, they met in 2017 when she finished high school and was referred to him by a teacher from her high school for hearts strings entertainment.

Peter Kawa requested to manage her and that was in 2018, he advised her to start creating content on social media on the many platforms.

While appearing on Phil Karanja's podcast 'Becoming CEO' Season 2,He speaks of the 2020 period when Azziad had gotten famous after her video blew up and they had to step in to assist with the situation.

" you couldn't even type on her phone, she had 50,000 unread messages others trolling her, calling her and it got to a point we had to get her a new phone and a new sim card"

He says that's how the journey began by him taking the right calls for the people that wanted to work with her and this is something they started preparing for 2 years before she became a celebrity.

He says in Azziad you could see, that this girl was born to be a star and she was determined to do it, and he saw the drive and success in her.

As her management, all we do is to put the resources she pulls together and make it work for her.
