Kenyan socialite and social media influencer Faith Makau popularly known as Amber Ray has come out to defend her fiancé Kennedy Rapudo against claims that he is into money laundering or any other quick cash schemes.
The new mom posted a video on her Instagram stories where her son brought up the subject of Rapudo's source of wealth.
In the video posted the 13-year-old can be seen talking with his mom shortly before Rapudo arrives home. Once he's home the businessman goes on to grumble about his numerous meetings and how his day out there hustling for the fam was hectic.
Following Kennedy's remarks, Gavin goes on to express his surprise at the sheer fact that Kennedy actually has a job.
He states how he's rarely if ever seen Kennedy working or engage in any work-related activities before he proceeds to ask his mom what her man does for a living as he is always around, and pays bills but unlike other grown people Gavin maintained he's never seen Kennedy working, a thing that seemed to puzzle him a lot.
“I have never seen him at meetings or working. We always seem to have money, but he doesn’t seem to be working; it seems suspicious,” Amber's teen son remarked.
His mom let out a laugh as she and her future hubby seemed taken aback by her son's inquisitive remarks.
Amber Ray confirms her son’s observation and reveals that people have accused her husband of being involved in money laundering, attributing his considerable wealth to these activities.
Responding to the young boy, Kennedy didn't really get into what he does for a living or the businesses he owns but instead defended himself, insisting that as long as he provides for his family, the opinions of others are irrelevant.
“I am smart and I have hired people to work for me, people who are as lazy as those who are spreading rumours about me,” Kennedy told the young lad.
In a previous interview with Plug TV Media Amber revealed that she spends 300k daily and sometimes even exceeds that amount. Mind you she maintained that it is all her boo's money.
Kennedy who was present during the interview joined in attributing their extravagant lifestyle to their hard work. Kennedy, (who has 2 kids from his previous relationships) added the famous Kenyan saying, "ni God manze" when asked about their source of income and how they maintain such expenditure.
“At the end of the day, we love each other, we work hard and pray about it. There’s no pressure you know, we just live according to what we have. We don’t struggle, and it is a blessing from God,” Kennedy casually said.
