KOT share their experiences with rogue cab drivers

• Twitter users came out to share some of the bad experiences they had with taking Bolt and with the rogue drivers.

Twitter users have come out to share some of the bad experiences they have had with rogue cab drivers.

With the recent kidnappings that happened last week where two ladies were kidnapped while using a cab - many have expressed their frustrations with online cabs.

The suspects in the last week's kidnapping had asked for a ransom of Sh500,000 to free the two ladies and to which no ransom was paid.

The suspects were later arrested and are now in custody awaiting trial.

With Bolt app facing lots of backlash from society as this is not the first incidence that has occurred on the Bolt app.

Many Kenyans took to share their experiences and why they would prefer to use other cab services while moving around the city.

Bolt put out a statement apologizing for whatever happened and said that they are cooperating with the relevant authorities.

They also said that they can't comment any further on the matter or pending allegations against them as this is an ongoing case.

Juma G @jumaf3Talked with a Bolt insider, former employees sell dormant accounts to criminals. Do u sometimes order Bolt but the number plate & the driver aren't the same as in the app? Means the guy bought a dormant account. Some are good but most with such accounts are thieves and rapists!

theRevanchist @FarhanMahmoud_I raised an issue last December about a worrying experience I had with a bolt. I never got satisfactory closure. I deleted the app soon after. I prefer Uber all time

Aleckie Ronald @SirAlexasDon’t use Bolt because you wanna save 100/200 bob, there are way too many complaints about that app and they don’t get addressed.. if you decide to use it, you are part of the problem
