Kenyan journalist Kevin Phillips excites Netizens with coverage of Champions league

Through a video which has been doing rounds on social media, Kevin Phillips was spotted in front of a dummy Champions League trophy outside the stadium as he expressed how much he wishes For Mahia could make it to such leagues.

The 2022/23 UEFA Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan will be going down at the Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium on Saturday June 10 2023.

Prior to the finals, journalists drawn from different international media entities were given a special chance to tour the stadium and prep their respective audiences ahead of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League final.

Among the revered journalists invited to the pre-final coverage was none other than Turkey-based Kenyan journalist Kevin Phillips Momanyi of Turkish TV station, TRT Afrika.

Well, Kevin Phillips, a former broadcast journalist at Tuko Media could not contain his joy after landing at the stadium, ready to furnish TRT Afrika’s audience and the world with details about the final as they unfold.

Through a video which has been doing rounds on social media, Kevin Phillips was spotted in front of a dummy Champions League trophy outside the stadium as he expressed how much he wishes For Mahia could make it to such leagues.

The journalist teased his cameraman by making his appeal to Gor Mahia, in which he called on them to push harder and make it to such championships because they are capable of clinching the title.

Kevin Phillips even went ahead to encourage Gor Mahia that they can beat Manchester City, who will be battling it out with Inter in the Champions League final.

Following his sentiments on the video, countless Kenyans thronged his DM to not only agree with him on his sentiments but also to congratulate him for his new job at the international TV station, TRT Afrika.

Many reminisced about his stint at Kenya’s number one news site Tuko.co.ke where he worked as the head of video department until is departure.

Before joining the Turkish TV station, TRT Afrika, Kevin Phillips was working with a number talented Kenyan actors and actresses under his production house, HyRAX Entertainment.
