Inter Miami CF is a professional soccer team based in Miami, Florida. The club is owned by a group of investors, including former English footballer David Beckham, who serves as the team's president and co-owner.
Inter Miami was officially launched on January 29, 2018, as the 25th franchise of Major League Soccer (MLS).
Beckham is joined by two local Miami entrepreneurs, Jorge Mas and his brother Jose Mas , as majority owners.
The Mas brothers are the sons of billionaire Jorge Mas Canosa who founded the Miami-based construction company Mas Tec. Jorge Mas is also the president of the Spanish club Real Zaragoza.
As a member of the MLS, Inter Miami competes in the top-tier professional soccer league in the United States and Canada.
The team plays its home matches at DRV PNK Stadium, located in Fort Lauderdale, with a seating capacity of 19,100.
Since its establishment, Inter Miami CF has not yet won any major trophies or titles. The team's inaugural season was in 2020, during which they competed in the MLS's Eastern Conference.
