Renowned singer and entrepreneur turned-politician Jane Warunguru has announced that she is expecting a baby girl after friends and family surprised her with a lavish white and gold-themed baby shower.

The Member of the Nairobi County Assembly took to her Instagram page to share the great news with her over 58.2k followers as well as highlighting a few key moments from the day.

Jane started by sharing a picture of when her female friends all dressed in white surprised her.

She could be seen in a maroon dress holding back tears as her squad cheered on happily for being able to keep the surprise from her. Jane wipes her tears away as she thanks her team.

Captioning the photo she wrote, "After they caught me a good one," accompanying it with smiling emojis and a love heart.

The former artist then proceeded to share a series of photos from the exquisite event on her Instagram feed.

In the photos, she was seen changed into a beautiful long, beige with black details, body-hugging dress all while donning a white sash written "Mum to be," in gold.

Waruguru, who also happens to be a golf captain, then proceeded to pop the balloon. The floating rubber popped and released pink paint and ribbons letting everyone know the gender of the little baby the celebrity politician was carrying.

The politician and her baby daddy, who was with her as she popped the balloon, both looked overjoyed as they smiled and cheered on with their faces covered with pink pieces.

"It's a whole grand adventure," the soon-to-be mom captioned the series of photos that she chose to share on her Instagram page.

Fans and followers flocked to the comment section to congratulate her and wish her a safe delivery. A section of them also commended her for not wearing anything revealing or having her belly out for the occasion as is the trend nowadays.
