How do you explain to your dear mum what a love bite is?
A Kenyan TikToker Young Blood Kamotho, has lit up the internet with a short video with his mother struggling to explain the meaning of the word hickey.
His mother notices he has an 'injury' or rather a bruise on his neck and she gets concerned.
"Nani alikunyonga?" she asks him.
He tells her "Ni hickey" but she does not understand what the son is trying to explain.
So she repeats her question about who tried to kill him.
"Nani alikuwa amekunyonga?" as she points to his neck "hapa". She begs him to be open "Nani alikunyonga na uongee ukweli" the hurt mother begs him.
"Ni hickey" he repeats. Again the word hickey does not register in her vocabulary. He appears amused and she tells him to be serious for once "Tell me the truth Ian, who choked you? Unajua I'm worried... There are three of them. Kama sio kuchunwa ni kunyongwa"
"Mum hizo ni hickey." and he finally bursts out in laughter.
He pans the camera to show what she is looking at. "Ama uongee ukweli" she touches the 'injury'.
"Si hii ni damu inaonekana imeclot" the mother insists he discloses who tried to choke him.
The video ends there with curiosity from netizens wanting to know if he did eventually tell her the big secret.
