In 2022 Radio Africa management reached out to content creator Njugush offering him a job. The job did not however manifest due to Njugush's crazy schedule.

According to Njugush, he travels a lot as a content creator hence that would have interfered with the radio show segment.

“There was that time in 2022 Kiss FM wanted to hire me but it didn’t work out. There was that suggestion but the particular segment didn’t work out because of a few issues. Majorly it was because of time,” Njugush said as quoted by the Nairobi News.

“I love radio very much. The main problem is the time they wanted me for the show,” he added, without revealing details of the show he was approached to host.

Njugush explained that as a freelance content creator, he is sometimes required to travel for a week or more.

“If you are on radio, you will just let the opportunity pass yet those people won’t understand that you are on radio. As freelancers, any job counts and they are not regular,” he said.

Njugush said he is not giving up on his dream. “It could be in a big or even the smallest radio station but I will make it there. Soon, you might hear me on a radio near you.”

Days ago Kiss FM presenter Obinna confirmed he had left the station a year after he joined the Radio Africa team.

In an interview with Kalondu Musyimi, he said his contract had ended adding he and the company decided not to renew the contract.

“I’m no longer at Kiss. I have finished my contract.

“The experience has been beautiful and I have achieved my dream and did everything I wanted to do. And everything I do from now henceforth will be extra.

If it’s a job or a car, it will be extra. I have driven that car I wanted to drive (apart from Range Rover Sport), lived in the houses I wanted, and worked in an organization I always wanted.

I have achieved what I wanted to do and now we move…,” Obinna told Mpasho.

During the Interview, Obinna disclosed that he was doing his clearance at Radio Africa Group before exiting the company officially.

“I have tried being on Kiss since 2013 and guess what 2022 happened and I got the breakfast show on Kiss FM.

Asked about his last week on Kiss Obinna replied; “My last day was last week on Monday. April 17, 2023,”. The funnyman went on to narrate his experience at Kiss FM

“I have learned that when an organization cares about its people and talent they thrive more.  I have worked in organizations where they really don’t care about their employees. But here I was myself, dressed the way I want and doing my thing,”

“I know the reason as to why I have left so let those who want to speculate do it, it’s their job… it good vibes all around it, and people should not feel bad about it or anything."
