• An impressive lineup of speakers and entertainers have wowed in the summit.

The inaugural Forbes 30 under 30 summit has kicked off in Gaborone, Botswana. The individuals in the list are 30 young entrepreneurs, who cut across various fields from innovators, and leaders under the age of 30 making significant strides in driving Africa’s progress.

The list features young talents from various sectors, including technology, entertainment, sports, and healthcare selected from over a thousand applicants. This selection is done by a panel of independent external judges.

29-year-old Kenyan Mutethia Mbaabu made it onto the list and is the Co-founder and CEO of MarketForce.

Boy band Sauti Sol hit the stage to chants from a massive crowd at the Forbes 30 under 30 summit. The group showcased their talent to adoring fans who sang along to the familiar lyrics.

They were among performers who had been invited to entertain audiences. Davido also performed tracks from his latest album.

"Yesterday at the @Forbes #Under30Summit Pan African Welcome Celebration.The 2023 @forbesunder30 summit Africa over the next couple of days, the world's most elite young entrepreneurs and game-changers are convening in one of the world's most beautiful countries, Botswana," wrote the group about the monumental opportunity.

Government officials, capitalists and other business moguls also addressed participants. Among them was Kenyan DP Rigathi Gachagua.

"Grateful for the opportunity to perform at the 2023 @Forbes #Under30Summit Africa! The energy and passion of the crowd was unforgettable. @forbesunder30 @forbesafrica," added Sauti Sol.

The summit ends on the 26th of April.
