Season two of the Young, Famous, and African series that airs on Netflix will officially premiere on May 19, 2023.

A video shared by the streaming platform indicates that the series will be available on the platform on May 19, and fans are excited.

The trailer for season two reintroduces all the cast members from season 1 of the reality series plus the newest addition.

The newest additions are Bonang Matheba, Luis Munana, Fantana, Rosette, and Sebabatso, and here are their profiles.

Bonang Matheba

Bonang Dorothy Matheba is a South African award-winning television presenter, radio personality, actress, and social media personality.

She is known for her flamboyant presenting skills and her signature voice. She presented the SABC 1 music show LIVE which built her spotlight in the industry.

Her nickname is Queen B

Luis Munana

Luis Tshita Munana, simply known as Luis is a former Big Brother Africa housemate and entrepreneur from Namibia.

He represented Namibia during the ninth season of the show where he became the tenth housemate to be evicted on Day 28 after receiving 1/14 votes to save.

Fantana

Francine Kouffie known professionally as Fantana is an American-born, Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur.

She is best known for hit songs like “Girls Hate On Girls”, and “New African Lady“, among others.

Fantana hails from Nzema land a Western Region in Ghana. She spent a major part of her life in the United States of America.

Fantana attended school in the US, where she went through a course in Business and Fashion. She even has a boutique.

Rosette

Model and actor Rosette Ncwana who shares a relationship history with cast member Andile Ncube - also make appearances this season.

Andile Ncube and Rosette have been separated for years, yet they remain close friends and co-parents to their daughter Gabrielle.

The couple split years ago bitterly, but it appears that time has mended their scars because they have recently been inspiring SA with their co-parenting approach.

Sebabatso

Model and socialite Sebabatso Mothibi – who also shares a relationship history with cast member Andile Ncube - also makes appearances this season.

Andile Ncube began dating model and socialite Sebabatso Mothibi in late 2019 and made their relationship public in 2020.

The former couple welcomed their first son together called Anthony in December 2020 but sadly their relationship didn’t last long after that and they broke up.

The Other Cast 

The young, Famous & African cast is made of a few select stars from South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, Namibia, Ghana, and Uganda as they manoeuvre tempestuous love lives, feuds, and demanding careers in the city of bling, Johannesburg, South Africa.

The reality series includes couple 2Baba and Annie Macaulay-Idibia, celebrity stylist Swanky Jerry, actor Khanyi Mbau, musician Diamond Platnumz, rapper Nadia Nakai, businesswoman Zari ‘The Bosslady’ Hassan, broadcaster, and TV producer Andile Ncube, and radio jockey Naked DJ.

Much like other reality series that follow rich folk, Young, Famous & African chronicles the everyday lives and projects of people with several digits on their bank accounts so the audience can get a glimpse of how the other side lives.
