Eleven passengers lost their lives in a road accident in the Josa area, along Wundayi- Mwatate road.
The passengers had attended a funeral in the Mgambonyi area when the bus lost its direction.
The bus' brakes failed and as a result fell into a slope, causing the death of the 11 passengers.
From the incident, several other passengers were injured, and they were taken to neighbouring hospitals in Mwatate and Voi.
Bodies of the 11 passengers were taken to Moi Hospital.
Police officers in the area have begun investigations into the accident that claimed the lives of 11.
The officers urged drivers who are not familiar with the route to be more careful.
