Media personality and gospel singer Kambua Manundu says she could not post her baby bump photos of her late son, Malachi.
Kambua lost her baby boy called Malachi in early 2021. Through a recent post on Instagram, the mother of two said she was hurt and by posting the pregnancy photo would have triggered her emotions.
She said she had made peace with herself.
"For a long time, I could not post photos of my pregnancy with Malachi. It made my heart ache so much. But healing has definitely been taking place in my heart," she said.
Despite losing her second-born child, Kambua celebrates that she had hundreds of photos that remind her of her son.
"I remember this day, and the joy I had, having made it this far despite the challenges. I’m so glad I have tonnes of Preggo pictures as a reminder that Malachi was here.
And the peace in knowing that he’s not just in my past- he’s with Jesus, and so he is in my future. To any mama nursing a broken heart from losing a child, I see you," she said.
She encouraged other grieving parents not to give up.
"I’m lifting you. You will pull through past the pain. One day you’ll wake up and it won’t hurt as much. God, our healer, our comforter- he makes it better. 🦋"
Kambua and her husband welcomed their first child together after almost 7 years in marriage.
