Elani's band are under pressure to release new music after a tweet they shared on Monday.

Elani, an over 10-year-old group is comprised of Wambui Ngugi, Brian Chweya and Maureen Kunga.

They released their official debut single "Jana Usiku" 9 years ago in September 2013, a successful hit that paved way for their subsequent singles including Koo Koo, Milele, Hapo Zamani, Sirudi, among others.

The last joint project published by the trio on the YouTube channel is at least two years old, 'Nimejaribu," out of their sophomore album, "Colours of Love".

A few months ago, Elani consists of  Wambui Ngugi, Brian Chweya and Maureen Kunga.

A few months ago, the group came out to categorically deny that they had broken up stating that the bond they have built over the years can't be easily broken.

Speaking on The Morning Kiss, Brian described the band as an 'eternal family'

"This is an eternal family hakuna breakup hapa!" He said. A lot of people don't understand once you get authentic friendships you live together and you will never get any drama."

The group members opened up on having a tough time during the covid-19 pandemic but they are slowly bouncing back.

Well, seems KOT has had enough of their silence and is ready to be addressed musically.
