Legendary Rehema Chalamila aka Ray C is expecting her first child with her  Mzungu Bae.

The France-based retired singer made the news public on Monday, February 6, 2023- by putting up a cute video capturing her protruding belly.

Sharing the pregnancy news, Ray C picked Singer Joel Lwanga and Barnaba Classic's song 'Sayuni'  as a perfect accompaniment for her video.

“Wakati wa Mungu ni wakati sahihi.🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️,” Ray C captioned her video.

The announcement attracted lots of congratulations messages from fellow celebrities and fans as they gushed over the star with lovely comments.

The singer relocated to France a few years back where she stays with her hubby. 

Drug addiction

Ray C, the one-time undisputed queen of Bongo flava shelved her music career after moving to the UK.

In 2018, she later introduced her boyfriend to the public- it is not year clear if the two are still an item. 

She fought drug addiction that ruined her flourishing musical career for almost a decade.

She was taken to rehab by former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete. Thereafter she worked on a comeback in the music industry but she did not manage to reclaim her lost glory.

She released a solo project titled "Unanimaliza" and a collaboration dubbed "Najiuliza" with fellow Tanzanian musician Chege and Kenyan singer Sanaipei Tande before relocating to the UK.
