Rev Lucy Natasha's mum Pastor Wanjiru has paid tribute to the late gospel singer and preacher Ilagosa Wa Ilagosa who passed away on Friday afternoon.

Through her Instagram page, the talented preacher said she was saddened by his demise.

She described him as a gospel minister and her son whom she had known for years.

She said that although it was a difficult time for her, Ilagosa had left a great legacy.

"Saddened by the news of the passing away of Ilagosa wa Ilagosa, a gospel minister and a son that I have known for several years," she said

Pastor Wanjiru added that the church will miss his vibrancy.

"He has left a great legacy and his songs would uplift and encourage us. We will miss your vibrancy. At these difficult moments, praying for God to comfort and strengthen his family, friends, church, and ministry colleagues."

Ilagosa is famous for his song, 'Sala Zangu' released five years.

He had been in and out of the hospital since December last year.

Gospel artistes who served with the singer have created two WhatsApp groups where they are contributing money for his burial arrangements.

Over Sh100k have so far been raised with artistes sending in condolence messages to his family.

Ilagosa was a father of one.

He had been in and out of the hospital since December last year.

"After his 3rd admission that is when the doctors did stomach scan and found out it was poison," a source told Mpasho.

"It had effects on his liver and other internal organs. Out of the shock he developed blood pressure, a stroke on his right side. He was fighting everything together."

He also has other collabos with Solomon Mkubwa and Janet Otieno.
