It's not easy dealing with women amid intense labor pains.

But doctor Yohana Jackson from Ikutha Sub-county Hospital, Kitui is defying the odds and being that medic who helps expectant mums in the labor ward go through the process with love.

Ikutha Sub-County Hospital is a health facility in Kenya. It is a Level 4 primary care hospital located in Kitui county, Kitui South Constituency.

In videos seen by Mpasho, Dr. Yaohan Jackson busts some dance moves to the popular song Kuna Kuna, as a mom-to-be gets up from her bed to show her dance moves as well.

He says the dance moves are aimed at keeping them active but also reducing stress.

While some women in the videos are understandably unable to dance, the medic doesn't force them and encourages them through their pain.

The Nakuru tragedy

Elsewhere, a Nakuru woman who gave birth to extremely rare naturally-conceived quintuplets has lost all five babies.

The woman Margaret Wangui and her husband Simon Ndungu lost their five newborn babies arising to complications.

The man and his wife from Nakuru welcomed 5 babies but hours later doctors announced their demise.

The internal organs of the five babies had not fully developed due to them being underweight.

Two died on Thursday morning whereas the other three were pronounced dead at around 1 pm Thursday.

The mother, Margaret Wairimu, 25, who did not know she was carrying five babies – went into labour on Tuesday and gave birth to the five babies through an operation.

The babies who were all born underweight at 25 weeks, were incubated at the hospital's Margaret Kenyatta Mother and Baby maternity wing.

“We have received the shocking news that the babies have passed on. The family is devastated and in shock. The hospital authorities told us that two of the quintuplets had passed on, Thursday morning, and the other three in the afternoon,” said Ms Monica Kinyanjui, a sister to the husband.
