The Late former CS George Magoha was married to his wife Dr Barbara Magoha, a Nigerian, and together they had one child Michael Magoha.
Magoha's wife Barbra and son are both medical doctors.
Speaking at her home, Barbara recounted that one month after she met her husband Magoha, he was telling everyone that he would marry her.
"Exactly one month after we met, he started telling people that we are going to get married. And that was the first time we had a quarrel. I asked him, how can you do that," she explained.
"He said I know you will not accept since I am not in Nigeria, so you go and tell them why you can't marry me."
Barbara went on to narrate how loving her husband was even after she became a mum.
She hinted that she had blood pressure during their son's pregnancy and Magoha said that they could not get another child.
"We continued, I got married and when I was pregnant with my son, I was between life and death because of blood pressure. He told me, if this is what pregnancy is all about, this case is closed," she said.
She also recounted how Magoha took care of her when she was nursing her son.
Every morning, he made sure he left her with enough fluids to ensure a good flow of breastmilk for their son.
"When I had my son, because of blood pressure and everything, I didn't have any milk, by 6:30am, I had two liters of juice squeezed by him. Every morning before he left for work. People used to say, what kind of a man is this," she said.
Magoha will be buried on February 11 at his rural home in Siaya county.
