Twin Akorino brothers Peter and Teddy who claimed to have impregnated one woman captured national attention in 2022.

After much condemnation, one of the twins came out to disclose that their story was fake.

According to Teddy, Emily was Peter’s wife and they were expecting a child. He (Teddy) only jumped in to ‘make the lie more believable'.

They begged for forgiveness and months after, we heard that Emily had given birth to a girl. That was on December 31. But on January 4th, 2023, the couple lost their daughter.

Peter has now opened up about their heartbreak in an interview with Nicholas Kioko that happened on January 26th.

The two celebrated their dead daughter with Emily saying she was happy being a mother, even if it was for four days only.

"Even though mwaka ilianza poa, even though ilikuwa ikakuwa mbaya but we thank God."

Peter recounted how they lost their baby. He said that the couple travelled to ushago at OlKolau in December for Christmas despite not planning to.

This was because Emily was past her due date, "December hatukuwa na plans za kupata mtoi tukiwa shags, but lakini juu alichelewa tuakenda shags olkolau shags Christmas."

Emily delivered on December 31, and named their daughter Kui.

"We thank God tulijaliwa kuwa na yeye siku nne, peke yake ya nne mapenzi ya mwenyezi mungu ikafanyika, an hivo ndio iko tumejikaza tuu mungu atupee neema."

Emily added, "Being with her for four days she struggled," adding, "Yenye nimepitia ni mingi."

The Akorino family then thanked Kenyans for donating money for the burial of their daughter.

Peter blamed the death on neglect by the hospital, who he says delayed in attending to Emily. "Vile mtoi alipass ndio daktari walikuja mbio."

The doctors according to Peter, then instructed Emily to report to the police that they arrived at the hopsital with a dead child.

The following day, Peter and his brother went back to the hospital. "Tukaenda tukavuruga tuu to find answers why they neglected and the child was it just four days old."

During the confrontation, the local OCS arrived at the hospital and urged the parties involved to settle the matter. This failed.

Peter said, "Waliapologize lakini hakuna kitu walifulfil like burial and such walirudi wakaruka story, they even tried to refuse with the body of the child."

The brothers got the governor to intervene and the body was released. Peter further revealed that the doctors wanted to admit Emily to treat her for some undisclosed ailment.

"The day after the child died, walinotice Emily hayuko sawa ati alale wamtibu." They refused because the medics didn't explain what the medication was for.

Later, the hospital called the Akorino couple to send an ambulance to pick up Emily and send her to a private hospital and they had even more questions about why the hospital was insisting Emily be rushed to another facility.

Peter insists there was an attempt by the hospital to cover up.

"Tuliamua tujipeleke dakatari akamwangalia akajua kulikuwa na vitu zimeachwa kwa mwili yake after she gave birth through normal."

Peter added that this is what was affecting Emilys capability to breastfeed her newborn. "Hiyo shida ya kutonyonya ilitokana na hizo vitu waliacha kwa tumbo."

What was in Emily's body?

"Waliacha cotton wool zilikuwa zina stink sana hata life yake ilikuwa at risk."

He claimed this was the reason the hospital now wanted to admit Emily to correct the mistakes they made.

Emily and Peter are trying to heal from the death of their daughter and are appealing for prayers from Kenyans.
