Twenty-six-year-old Caroline Njoki Maina has finally broken her silence hours after being appointed as a member of the Kenya Ports Authority board.

Thanking the President, his deputy and the Transport CS, Njoki promised to take up the role and use it to bring impactful purposeful change and deliver on the promises of the Kenya Kwanza promises to Kenyans.

“Every Milestone in life comes with a great responsibility which is influenced by actions that depict our character and abilities,” Njoki said via twitter.

Thanking President William Ruto, DP Rigathi Gachagua and Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen on Saturday,  she said the appointment is due to their trust in her ability to deliver in the docket she has been assigned.

“Their trust and promises to Kenyans during our campaigns most especially to our women and youth puts in me a responsibility to deliver effectively and efficiently,” she said.

To all my friends and support system, thank you,” she added.

Njoki was among Murkomen’s appointments to the Kenya Ports Authority board and it is said she was a key participant during Ruto's campaign before and during the August 9 general elections.

Through a gazette notice dated January 20, 2023, Murkomen said the changes take place with immediate effect. 

They will serve for a period of three years.
