Nyeri upcoming politician Dickson Ndirangu has made his 123-year-old grandma Wairigia popular on social media.

Ndirangu features his granny in most of his videos especially on Tiktok.

In their conversations, the granny and Ndirangu talks about various topics from how she raised him after the mother died to the great man he has become.

Ndirangu also engages his grandma by asking her to repeat English words that are obviously hard for her to say because of her age.

In one of their many videos, Ndirangu told his granny that he would like his friends to visit her to which she kept asking when they would come.

In their live sessions, the granny showers blessings to Ndirangu's friends asking them to love him since he is the only child who takes care of her.

Ndirangu works for the Nyeri National government constituency development fund.

In an interview with Inooro TV Ndirangu talked about the importance of technology with the elder people.

"When I told her that I would be buying a phone so she can join social media platforms, she was mostly interested about M-Pesa and she was excited. I am now using technology to create our bond even more because that is something the government want to put in place."

A few weeks later, their fans reached out to Expedition Maasai Safaris, a tour company which has since gifted the granny a three days holiday fully paid in Maasai Mara.

On his social media, Ndirangu thanked his fans for voting for them adding that he will update his fans on the reaction of his granny about the news.

"Looking forward to the trip, Thanks to Almighty God for putting me and Maitu (Grandma) on this big stage and also thanks to all my fans, I came out begging for you to vote for us and by God's Grace and your support we won!!! Maasai Mara here we come!!!!"
