A latest survey revealed that women from Murang'a County are more likely to have more than two sexual partners.

The Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS) 2022 released by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) on Tuesday, said that Murang’a is leading among counties with multiple sexual partners, at 11 percent.

Well, an interview by Kameme TV on Wednesday in Murang'a where a woman from the county confirmed the survey saying their alcoholic men are the lead cause of their cheating.

"Those I have met are like 20 of them. How can we say that is a lie? A woman is married and with a wedding ring but is walking around with young men. I go to Kirinyaga every day and I meet them all over there," the woman told Kameme TV.

Asked why women are mostly cheating, she alleged that their men are lazy in bed. She added that some are not satisfying their women in bed hence why women go looking for men.

"The reason is simple, our men are drinking too much alcohol and return home very drunk. Some even give birth only to be told that is their child, they say it's a lie. How did you make her pregnant yet you have not been active in bed? You always come home drunk," she said.

She asked Murang'a men to reduce their alcohol intake.

"My advise to Murang'a people, please our men, reduce your intake of alcohol."

On whether Murang'a men are violent and that they beat their wives, she said women beat them instead.

"Men do not beat us, it is us who beat them and shout to pretend we are being beaten."

From the survey, Kericho county came second with 6.5 percent followed by Busia at 6.2 per cent.

Comparatively, men from Migori County recorded the highest with more than two sexual partners at 28.7 percent.
