Former British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) journalist Hudheifa Aden has landed a new job with the Puntland State of Somalia.
Aden has been appointed by the President of the Puntland State of Somalia Abdullahi Deni as the presidential advisor on Oil and Gas.
“I’m happy to announce that I have been appointed as a presidential advisor on oil and gas by H.E Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland State of Somalia. I am excited to join the president’s team of advisors and work more closely with state and federal-level O&G experts in Somalia, one of the last major unexplored frontiers,” Hudheifa Aden shared.
Aden’s appointment was effective December 17th, 2022.
He has also made changes on his social media platforms to reflect his new job after exiting the newsroom a few months ago.

Before the appointment, Aden served as a business reporter and anchor at BBC.
Hudheifa announced his departure from NTV back in July 2018 to join BBC.
