Africa's fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala is among the 2,881 constables who are graduating today from the National Police College in Kiganjo.
The event is being presided over by President William Ruto.
Omanyala is among recruits who successfully finished the Basic Police Training Course that included Human Rights, Community Policing, Public Order Management, Skills at Arms and Countering Violent Extremism.
His wife, Laventa Amutavi, thanked God for the honor and asked Him for more blessings.
"Just witnessing this supernatural manifestation feels my heart with joy and thanksgiving. Congratulations and cheers to more blessings," Lavesh wrote.
In 2021, the National Police Service announced that Omanyala had joined the service and that he would represent the National Police Service in future track events.
A statement from the NPS indicates that the recruits have successfully completed the nine-month Basic Police Training Course.
"They were taken through various subjects including Human Rights, Community Policing, Public Order Management, Skills at Arms and Countering Violent Extremism," reads the statement.
